Ceiling heating and cooling systems
Ceiling heating and cooling systems mainly focus on cooling. However, like the floor and wall systems, it can be used as a combination for heating and cooling. Fastening technologies are similar to wall systems. Ceiling systems can either be embedded in the ceiling structure or integrated into suspended ceilings using special panels.
PURMO radiant ceiling panels
PURMO offers two radiant ceiling panel systems in order to meet an optimum range of requirements: Heliuz Panel is the efficient and elegant solution for office buildings and commercial spaces, Heliuz Strip is the perfect system for industrial halls, sports facilities and event locations.
Both systems do not provide heat by convection, but by radiant heat, thus ensuring a good indoor and working environment even in very large and high rooms. With cold water, on the other hand, the same system produces gentle and resource-conserving cooling.
As with all products in the PURMO family, radiant ceiling panels demonstrate the high demands on flexibility, quality and cost-effectiveness that are an essential part of the product range.
Improved productivity thanks to a clean and pleasant indoor climate
Radiant ceiling panels do not provide heat via convection, but by means of radiant heat. In the optional cooling mode, cooled water flows through the panels and through natural cooling convection, cooled air flows slowly downwards. Radiant ceiling panels thus ensure a constant, pleasant temperature without any draughts or technical noises. Radiant ceiling panels are therefore also ideal for rooms where low exposure to dust is a requirement or demanding hygiene standards must be maintained.
Radiant ceiling panels create the necessary conditions for a pleasant and healthy working climate and atmosphere and make a relevant contribution to increasing production in commercial and industrial spaces.
Flexibility in planning, implementation and operation
Thanks to their modular design and low weight, radiant ceiling panels can meet a wide range of requirements in offices and commercial spaces. For example, in areas with increased heat loss – such as external windows or doors – loss compensation can be achieved via radiant ceiling panels. The system can also be quickly changed or extended in the event of future conversions or expansions of commercial spaces – and thus help to shape the changed usage requirement.
In addition, the integration of lighting or building technology such as smoke detectors and sprinkler systems is also planned. As a result, radiant ceiling panels become part of an entire room concept that clearly goes beyond room air conditioning.
Cost-efficiency and investment security
From initial investment to running costs, radiant ceiling panel systems are affordable and cost-efficient. The systems are energy efficient even in buildings with high ceilings, resulting in great savings. The modular design, high flexibility and the interplay with lighting and security concepts ensure a high level of future-proofing and investment security for the entire system.
